2023: The Launch of MAU Athletics

Millennia Atlantic University officially partners up with Fernando Valenzuela and LFV Athletics as a third-party provider to help MAU start their Athletic Department, it’s launched in January 2023. LFV Athletics had already started programs like this in 5 other universities prior to MAU. This milestone was a significant step forward for the university, transforming the campus culture and creating a new avenue for student engagement.

FALL 2023 and SPRING 2024:

We launch the program with 6 Sports: Men’s Soccer, Men’s Rugby, Baseball, Women’s Volleyball, Men & Women Tennis. We enrolled 130 student athletes to start out with. We had full teams, held practices 5 days a week for every team, played full seasons, and got on the map of college athletics.

FALL 2024 and SPRING 2025: Rapid Program Expansion

Following its inaugural year, the university heavily invested in expanding its sports offerings. For the 2024-2025 academic year, MAU introduced several major programs, prominently adding Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, and Women’s Soccer. This expansion helped solidify the Macaws’ presence and opened new recruitment opportunities for student-athletes globally. We reached 180 student athletes that Fall 2024.

FALL 2025 and SPRING 2026: A Breakout Year for Championships

Last year marked a historic turning point for MAU Athletics on the competitive stage. The Macaws dominated their conference, taking home multiple titles. The Women’s Volleyball, Men’s Soccer, Rugby, and Baseball teams all secured conference tournament championships, firmly establishing the Macaws as a growing force in college sports. We also added Softball and Men’s Volleyball. We achieved in bringing 248 student athletes that Fall of 2025.

With an enrollment of 279 student athletes this Fall of 2026, the university year after year continues to increase its foothold in athletics and keeps focus on institutional growth, intertwining its athletic initiatives with academic and digital advancements to support student-athletes on and off the field. MAU will keep on adding sports in the near future, and is deciding between Swimming and Diving, Golf, Cross Country and Track and Field amongst others.
